Robot SeeDo

Mohammed Hassan Al-Jefairi is the inventor of Robot SeeDo – the interactive robot teacher that helps deaf children learn sign language in a fun and visual way.

The prototype was created in a blaze of publicity on Season 9 of the huge hit Qatar TV show Stars of Science in which MJ battled his way through to the grand final with his innovative learning tool.

Robot Seedo can communicate with deaf children using a fully articulated robot hand which can communicate in sign gestures of every language, along with an in-built video screen which can display visual games and content

Seedo can also capture and interpret a child’s hand gestures, using motions sensors and specialized depth cameras.
So the robot can fully interact with and respond to deaf children, correcting any mistakes they may be making in their gestures and praising them when they get it right.

As well as being a TV celebrity in its own right, Robot SeeDo has also picked up a stack of awards including Gold Medal at the International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva, in April 2018.
Seedo also won Gold Medal at the 10th International Invention Exhibition in Kuwait in January 2018, and MJ scooped first place for Innovation and Invention from the Patent Office of the Cooperation Council.

Robot SeeDo still needs your help to get to market and become an affordable learning tool for deaf children in homes and schools around the world.
MJ is currently looking for volunteers, engineers, schools, and business partners to jump onboard for the exciting journey ahead.
